FAQs

Is therapy right for me?

Therapy is a unique opportunity to explore and work through challenges, stressors, behavioral patterns, and life experiences. If you are feeling stuck, dealing with depression or anxiety, recognizing relationship difficulties, hoping to improve self-esteem and self-care, or are simply wanting to better understand yourself and your behaviors, therapy can likely be a very rewarding experience for you or a family member.

Can we speak before meeting to see if we are a good fit?

Absolutely! Please call, email, or submit an online inquiry for a complimentary initial phone consultation. This allows me to answer any questions you may have, as well as gather more information about what you are looking for in services to determine if we are a good fit.

How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions typically range from 45 to 55 minutes, depending on your needs. I aim for you to get as much out of therapy as possible; therefore, I work with you to create a plan that feels most beneficial to your goals.

How long will we meet for?

The answer to this question depends on your therapy goals, progress, and many other considerations. Some people want to meet on a short-term basis, whereas others enjoy open-ended therapy meetings. Treatment length is a topic we can discuss during our initial meeting and continually throughout our work together.

How often do we meet?

I find that clients typically get the most out of therapy when we meet on a weekly basis. However, we can certainly discuss options that best fit your needs and goals.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO insurance. For all other insurances, I would be considered an out-of-network provider. In this case, I am happy to provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

Do you offer a reduced fee for services?

I do offer a limited number of reduced fee (sliding scale) services on a case-by-case basis.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask that if you need to cancel, you do so at least 24 hours in advance of our scheduled appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours, you will be charged the full fee of the session. This policy is out of respect to both your therapist and other clients who would have otherwise been able to meet during that time slot.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept Zelle and credit/debit/HSA cards.
